Inspiring two weeks recording Tania Kross' opera "Katibu di Shon". Fantastic music by carribean jazz star Randal Corsen, lyrics in creole language and two basses... What a visionary project. A very moving story about slavery on the caribbean island of Curacao, where both, Tania Kross and Randal Corsen come from. It was a great team, great singers and instrumentalists and lots of fun at Powersound Studio Amsterdam. I was happy to my six string bass again and also contribute some double bass.
