PHILIPP REHM is a bassist and music producer. As a renowned musician with a vast repertoire of creative bass sounds, he can be heard both as a solo artist and studio bassist, as well as a sought-after sideman who has played with renowned bands and artists such as Jazz Against The Machine, the renowned Caribbean classical singer Tania Kross, The Flames, and pop and R&B singer Cassandra Steen. In 2004, Philipp was crowned Germany's Superbasser by BassProfessor, before making a name for himself internationally. In 2021, he graced the cover of the US-based Bass Musician Magazine, and the French Bassiste Magazine hailed his album 'The Philbum' as a 'masterpiece in the league of the greats,' which the German-language magazine Sticks had already featured as 'Album of the Month.' eTogether with the outstanding drummer Ralf Gustke, Philipp has been running an exciting bass & drum duo for several years, known for its innovative avant-garde approach, which has performed at several high-profile festivals. Philipp has been advancing his Bass Matrix adventure for quite some time, conducting workshops and teaching at the Mannheim University of Music.
